Houston police are investigating the death of a man after a hit-and-run crash near I-10

HOUSTON – Houston Police are investigating the death of a man following a road rage incident that occurred Saturday morning with officers.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., officers observed an erratic driving disturbance on westbound I-10 near Lockwood and approached the vehicle. Failing to comply with the officers’ commands, one of the men got out of the car and ran down the embankment onto the highway.

HPD officers pursued a man who was trying to cross the highway. According to the police, the car was unable to stop and hit the man.

The services confirmed the man’s death on site.

The information is preliminary as this is an investigation by HPD investigators. Anyone with information is asked to call HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Unit at 713-247-4072.
