A man is dead, three others injured in a head-on crash in Lebanon

A man was killed in a head-on crash in Lebanon on Friday evening, which also injured three other people.

York County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a serious crash in the area of ​​Long Swamp Road and Lord Road in Lebanon around 6 p.m.

The sheriff’s office said Daniel Dempsey, 39, of Lebanon, was behind the wheel of a Mazda heading south on Long Swamp Road and crossed into the oncoming lane, striking a northbound Dodge pickup truck.

Dempsey was pronounced dead at the scene. Dempsey’s passenger, Christina Gagnon, 44, of Berwick, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, York County Sheriff William King said.

King said the driver of the Dodge, William Long, 22, of South Berwick, and passenger Jenna Dixon, 20, of Berwick, suffered minor injuries.

Gagnon, Long and Dixon were taken to local hospitals.

King said investigators believe alcohol, speeding and reckless driving contributed to the crash, and the incident remains under investigation.
