Kentucky driver seriously injured after crashing through a roof tile south of Meadville

MEADVILLE, Mo. (KCTV) – A Louisville driver is fighting for his life after a pickup truck caused a collision on a highway south of Meadville over the weekend.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, emergency responders were called to the area of ​​Highway 36 and County Road W south of Meadville for a report of a two-vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, first responders found Lane A. Alexander, 54, of Louisville, Kentucky, was driving his 2023 Jeep Compass east on the highway when Richard L. Frazier, 71, of Chillicothe, the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado with 2022, did not give way.

State troopers said the pickup struck the Jeep and pushed it off the road, where it overturned.

Emergency services said that although Alexander was wearing a seatbelt at the time, he was taken to the scene Pershing Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His Jeep was also destroyed in the process.

MSHP noted that Frazier, who was also wearing a seat belt at the time, escaped the crash without injury and was able to drive his pickup truck away from the scene. No further information has been released.
