Jackal attack: A three-month-old boy is injured

A three-month-old baby died after being attacked by a jackal in Manjhanpur area of ​​Kaushambi district on Wednesday evening. The child’s mother was working in the field when a wild animal attacked her.

On Wednesday evening, Puja, a resident of Paali Uparhar village in Manjhanpur district, along with another woman went to collect crops from a farmer. Puja placed her three-month-old baby in a basket and was busy working in the fields. Meanwhile, the jackal kidnapped the child and mauled him.

Puja and other women rushed to the spot hearing the baby crying. Other workers chased away the jackal and saved the child. However, as a result of an attack by a wild animal, he was seriously injured. The child was taken to a nearby hospital, but doctors referred him to the SRN hospital. The family took the child to the SRN hospital, but he died on the way.

Lawyer injured in attack, dies during treatment

A lawyer, who was attacked and injured after an argument over a minor matter in Salori area, died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Lucknow. Lawyer Akhilesh Shukla was attacked outside Shivkuti police station on Sunday evening. He was taken to hospital, from where his relatives shifted him to a private hospital in Lucknow.

Two people named in the FIR have been arrested and several other attackers are still at large.

Road construction is underway in the Salori area. On Sunday evening, the contractor’s assistant was supervising the work when he argued with Shukla over an issue. The salesman left after the argument but soon returned with his assistants in three vehicles. The attackers beat Shukla with sticks and rods before leaving him unconscious on the road.

On Wednesday, police arrested two attackers, including one Nikhil. As they were being taken to court, they were attacked by a group of people dressed as lawyers.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Shukla died during treatment. After Shukla’s death, markets and shops in the area were closed. Police said that a post-mortem examination of the body is being carried out in Lucknow.

Meanwhile, the Allahabad District Bar Association has expressed grief over the death of lawyer Akhilesh Shukla. Allahabad District Bar Association general secretary Dinesh Chandra Pandey said that lawyers will refrain from judicial work on Friday and hold a condolence meeting. Pandey urged lawyers to remain calm.

Meanwhile, markets in Salori Bazar were closed following the death of a lawyer. City DCP Abhishek Bharti said that forces have been deployed in the area as a precautionary measure.
