Peterborough Thorney disaster: one person dead and four injured

As a result of the collision of two vehicles, one person was killed and four other people were injured.

Emergency services were called at 20:50 GMT on Wednesday to reports of a collision between a Nissan Pulsar and a gray Toyota Prius on the A47 at Thorney Toll, near Peterborough.

A 60-year-old man, a passenger in the Nissan, was taken to Peterborough Community Hospital, but died from his injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, a 60-year-old woman, and the passenger of the Toyota, a 30-year-old woman, were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
