A year after his death, Matthew Perry’s Los Angeles mansion was sold for .5 million

Matthew Perry’s estate in Los Angeles has a new owner.

The former residence of the late “Friends” star who was found dead in the hot tub at his Pacific Palisades estate on October 28, 2023, was purchased by Arizona film producer and developer Anita Verma-Lallian for $8.55 million, according to the Los Angeles Times..

A representative for Verma-Lallian told the outlet she would use the 3,500-square-foot, four-bedroom midcentury modern property, which Perry purchased in 2020 for $6 million, as a vacation home.

The representative also said the businesswoman purchased the home through a trust and was represented by Brooke Elliott Laurinkus of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California.

Perry died at the age of 54 from “acute effects of ketamine”, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

The manner of his death was determined to be accidental.

The autopsy report also listed drowning, coronary artery disease and buprenorphine, an opioid, as other conditions that contributed to the actor’s death.

Five people, including two doctors and Perry’s longtime assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, have been charged with the death of the “Fools Rush In” star.

Authorities said Iwamasa administered a dose of ketamine that killed the “17 Again” star..

Perry’s stepfather, Keith Morrison, and his half-sister, Caitlin Morrison, reflected in the actor’s death earlier this week.

“When (Matthew) suddenly died, it was incredibly shocking… anyone who has lost a child will tell you this, even if you were somehow prepared for the possibility, it’s devastating,” he told Hello! “Dateline” correspondent! Canada, Wednesday.

Keith and Caitlin said they have expressed their grief to the Matthew Perry Foundation of Canada, which was recently established to honor the late star, “by continuing his commitment to helping others recover.”

“He would like to be remembered for doing something to help people suffering from addiction,” Keith added.
