Two people, including a policeman, were martyred in separate bomb explosions in Mamond Tehsil in Bajaur district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

The first explosion occurred in the Airab area, in the premises of the Loi Mamond Police Station, resulting in the death of a man named Malik Asghar. According to Express News, police officers confirmed the entire incident.

They added that the second blast took place in the Meena Khor area, also under the jurisdiction of Loi Mamond Police Station, where Constable Ihsanullah was killed, Express News reported.

After both incidents, police collected evidence and blocked the area, launching an investigation.

So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Previously, twelve soldiers died by suicide blast near the Mali Khel checkpoint in Bannu district, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Wednesday.

Security forces also killed six terrorists, successfully foiling their attempt to reach the common check-in desk, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) added.

“In the exchange of fire, six khwarij are sent to hell. The attempt to enter the outpost was successfully thwarted by own troops, which forced the Khwarij to drive a vehicle filled with explosives into the perimeter wall of the outpost,” ISPR reports.

“The suicide blast led to the collapse of part of the perimeter wall and destruction of adjacent infrastructure, resulting in Shahadat consisting of 12 brave sons of the earth, including 10 security forces soldiers and two Border Police soldiers,” ISPR said.

7 terrorists killed in Balochistan, KP IBO

Security forces killed four terrorists in three separate encounters in Balochistan and Balochistan off terrorists during an intelligence-led operation (IBO) in the Bannu district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, the army said on Friday.

According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations, the military’s media wing, three clashes with terrorists took place in the Awaran, Dera Bugti and Kech districts. It was said that weapons belonging to the fallen terrorists were also recovered.

“An intelligence-led operation (IBO) was conducted in Awaran district in connection with the reported presence of terrorists. During the operation, after an intense exchange of fire, two terrorists were successfully neutralized; both high value targets have been identified as Niaz alias Ghuman and Zareef alias Shah Jahan,” it said.
