Stevie J reveals that Diddy was on drugs when he attacked Cassie

How Sean “Diddy” Combs awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, Steve J he says he was as surprised as anyone else by the alleged evidence against him. He questioned the rapper’s reputation and reacted to the video of Cassie’s assault.

According to XXL Magwho recently interviewed Stevie J TMZ for the multi-part series documenting the Diddy case. As a longtime friend and collaborator of Combs, Stevie has insight into the Bad Boy founder’s lifestyle. In the interview, he addressed the allegations against Diddy and the evidence presented.

How BOSSIP CNN reported that it published surveillance footage of Diddy’s physical violence Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura. This video is key evidence in the case against Diddy and Steve said he was shocked by it.

“It really blew my mind,” he revealed. “I always think and say things that I know to be true about Sean Combs.”

Previous Love and hip-hop star also stated that when the footage was published, he talked to Combs about it because he was surprised to learn that Diddy would attack a woman.

“After watching the video, I went to see him in Miami and we had a conversation. And I let him know how it affected me. I didn’t know it had something like that,” he said.

“I just know he was at a dark point in his life, as he described to me,” he added. “He was just on too many drugs and it was just dark for him.”

You may remember Diddy reacted to the publication of the recording and took responsibility for it in an Instagram video. But now his team says that the footage has been edited.

“It’s very hard to remember the darkest moments in life, but sometimes you have to do it,” Diddy said in his video. “I was screwed up – I hit rock bottom – but I’m not making any excuses. My behavior in this video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in this video,” he continued. “I was disgusted when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and asked for professional help. I started going to therapy and rehabilitation. I had to ask God for His mercy and grace.”

Combs is currently awaiting trial at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. His trial is scheduled for May 2025. Meanwhile, he and his legal team were desperately trying to get bail. The rapper was denied bail three times, but his team performed well on the fourth attempt new evidence regarding the video of Cassie’s assault.

In the lawsuit, Combs denies the claim that the assault occurred during one of his infamous alleged “freaks.” The documents also indicated that his relationship with Cassie was not abusive, but rather a toxic situation. He claims the video was a “minute-long insight into a complex but decade-long consensual relationship.”

Combs is still awaiting a decision on his fourth bail application.
