The father of a Hawaii woman who disappeared while traveling to New York for the holidays was found dead Sunday near the Los Angeles airport.

Ryan Kobayashi (58) came to Los Angeles in search of his 30-year-old daughter Hannah Kobayashi. More than two weeks ago, she missed her connecting flight from Los Angeles International Airport to New York.

“The Kobayashi family experienced a devastating tragedy today. After 13 days of tireless searching in Los Angeles, Hannah’s father, Ryan Kobayashi, tragically took his own life. This loss has immeasurably deepened the family’s suffering,” wrote Ruch RAD.

On Monday, Kobayashi spoke to KTLA from California, hoping to contact his daughter.

“I miss her. “I just want her to know about it and I want her to reach out – whatever,” he said.

Hannah flew from Maui to Los Angeles on November 8, planning to catch a connecting flight to New York for a “bucket list trip” and visit her aunt. However, she missed her flight, even though surveillance footage showed she had arrived at LAX.

Her relatives also said that before she disappeared, they received strange text messages from her. “I got scammed and gave away almost all my funds,” the text message said.

In another message, she claimed she was allegedly cheated on by “someone I thought I loved.” “Deep Hackers erased my identity, stole all my funds and have been driving me crazy since Friday” – another message from her Read.

Hannah Kobayashi is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and light skin with freckles.
