The day before the trial, Diddy’s lawyers argued that prosecutors were using a “manipulated version” of the video.

The defense insisted the video did not show “freakness” but rather a domestic dispute during which Diddy ran down a hotel hallway to retrieve his clothes and cell phone.

“The fuller footage of the incident – ​​unlike CNN’s sensational government cut – contradicts the government’s claims” – defense attorney Aleksandra Szapiro – he wrote in court documents obtained by ABC News. “The video recording submitted to the Court by the Government omits material corroborating the defense testimony, changes the sequence of events in important respects, and does not accurately portray the events.”
