Himanshi Khurana’s father arrested for allegedly abusing a government official

Bigg Boss 13 fame Himanshi Khurana’s father Kuldeep Khurana has been arrested. As reported by Pinkvilla, a court in Phillaur has ordered 14 days of judicial custody for Himanshi’s father in connection with a complaint filed against him five months ago. Khurana’s father was accused of abusing a government official during the elections.

Kuldeep Khurana was reported to have abused and attacked the Naib Tehsildar during the Guriya assembly elections earlier this year. The incident was caught on camera following which Naib Tehsildar Jagpal filed an FIR against Himanshi’s father.

It was also reported that with court permission, police officers conducted several raids but failed to capture Khurana. He was recently arrested at his residence after receiving a report. Guraiya Police Station SHO, Palwinder Singh also confirmed the news of Kuldeep’s arrest.

As for Himanshi Khurana, her name became popular after she participated in Bigg Boss 13. It was one of the most popular seasons of Salman Khan’s reality show. Last year, the Punjabi actress and singer made headlines after she split from Asim Riaz. They met in the Bigg Boss 13 house and fell in love. They were together for four years before announcing their split in December 2023.

In June this year, a Hindustan Times report claimed that Asim and Himanshi had parted ways due to their religious beliefs. A source quoted by the website claimed that Himanshi is “sensitive” about her “nasty” breakup and that’s why she avoids talking about it.

Later, Himanshi also released a statement in which she urged everyone to respect her privacy. “My biggest weakness is that no one ever knows what’s really going on in my life. Where am I and what will be my next move unless I let you know. Therefore, everything anyone says is just a guess. Privacy is my luxury. Privacy is my peace of mind. You better not try to be my close source,” she wrote.
