SEDGWICK COUNTY – A Kansas woman who died Saturday in an accident at a small airport has been identified as Amanda Gallagher, 37, of Wichita, according to an online fundraiser for her family.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said that just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday, first responders were notified of an accident at Cook Airfield, 6841 S. 143rd Street in Derby.

Gallagher was taking photos when she backed into the plane’s active propeller. The emergency medical team transported her to a local hospital in very critical condition, where she died from her injuries.
