Man accused of woman’s death after alleged attack

CELINA, Texas (KXII) – A Celina woman is dead and a man is in jail accused of her murder.

Police in Celina reported that on Monday afternoon they received a report of an ongoing burglary.

The investigation revealed that a male suspect had illegally entered the home and attacked the victim.

Police arrived at the scene and found 53-year-old Karl Stanley and a woman who had suffered serious injuries as a result of the attack.

Despite the rescue operation, the victim died on the spot.

Police say Stanley knew the woman, who has not been named, but their relationship has not been disclosed.

Collin County Jail records show he is being held on suspicion of murder committed by terror and stalking.
