He said the incident began when he and others in the crowded restaurant were distracted by a noisy incident at the restaurant’s bar. According to Bissonnette, the situation began to escalate and prompted the former Phoenix Coyotes tough guy to intervene.

From that point on, the restaurant equivalent of a bench-cleaning brawl ensued, although it was a one-sided affair.

“The antagonist starts putting his finger in the manager’s face and supporting him,” Bissonnette explained Spitting Chiclets. “Everyone is watching. It’s a ruckus involving nine worm-drunk golfers who create a scene and apparently don’t like being told no.

“I get up, walk over, grab the guy by the arm and say, ‘Listen, buddy, if you keep attacking and harassing staff, we’re going to go outside and have some problems.’ The moment they left my mouth the guy next to him started throwing punches and the next thing I knew there were four guys throwing punches at me.

Daley appeared before a Maricopa County judge on Monday and is scheduled to return in December for further hearings.

Daley, who is from Texas, apparently upset the judge by giving a noncommittal answer when asked if he could return to be present at future hearings.

“If I have to, I can try,” he said in the video, according to TMZ. “Yes, ma’am.”

“This is not a test. I mean, if that’s the case, or I’ll set bail for you,” she said before he confirmed she would return.

Daley was also ordered to stay away from the scene and not to contact the “alleged victim, complainant or witness” in the case.
