Waterbury man arrested after holding another man at gunpoint

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Waterbury man is in jail tonight after allegedly holding another man at gunpoint.

State police say that around 5:15 p.m. Monday, 52-year-old Jason Russell entered the home of 51-year-old Gregory Haskin with a gun and threatened to kill the residents.

Officers say Haskins managed to take Russell’s gun and pin him to the ground before Russell was arrested.

Russell now faces several charges, including aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
