Traverse City Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault in The Pines – News 9&10

The Traverse City Police Department (TCPD) said it is investigating an alleged sexual assault at or near The Pines.

On Sunday, November 17, at 3:28 a.m., TCPD contacted Munson Medical Center to request an investigation into a criminal sexual assault that allegedly occurred on November 6-13 at an unknown time.

A 39-year-old Traverse City man reported he was forced or lured to The Pines after experiencing vehicle trouble somewhere near 800 S Division St. The incident is an open investigation and is currently being investigated by the Traverse City Police Department’s Detective Bureau. At this time, this is an isolated case.
