A 15-year-old boy is in police custody after officers witnessed him shooting a man in broad daylight near a Bronx courthouse on Wednesday.

Officers from the 44th Precinct were patrolling near East 161st Street and Morris Avenue around 2:40 p.m. when they saw a teenager allegedly pull out a gun and fire several shots at a 29-year-old man, police said.

According to cops, the man was shot once in the chest and the teen fled.

Emergency services transported the victim to Lincoln Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, New York police said.

Officers who observed the shooting gave chase to the baby-faced gunman and caught him a few blocks away at East 156th Street and Courtlandt Avenue, where they took him into custody.

Investigators found a firearm at the scene.

The teenager was facing charges as of Wednesday evening.

Police are investigating whether the deadly shootings were gang-related, sources said.
