Staff report

Student Theater Henry Konstantinow at Northern Kentucky University is a fully student-funded, produced and directed theater dedicated to providing access to theater for students across campus, regardless of their major or socioeconomic status.

Annual shadow cast fundraiser Rocky Horror Picture Show will take place on October 30 at The Woodward Theater at OTR. This is a one-night event consisting of two performances at 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. This is the first time the fundraiser is being held off campus due to ongoing construction on the first floor of the NKU Fine Arts Center.

Shadow is a team of artists who play a role in the film as it plays. (There is plenty of audience interaction.)

With our expansion to Cincinnati, students can open our doors to the community.

All funds raised by this event go directly to The Henry to continue producing shows each year, provide scholarships to students and provide free admission to our performances.

As usual, the students were excited about the performance and were eagerly waiting to showcase their talents.

“Henry has truly become a place where I can be seen and heard,” said Alexa Morelle, director of this year’s show. “I was able to showcase my craft and grow in ways I never expected. This is truly a place where you can shine and show what you can do on and off the stage.”

Students rate this experience as valuable and unique.

“Henry has become something that is very near and dear to my heart over these last few years at school,” said Belle Scholles, who plays Rocky in this year’s production. “I love Henry because it provides students with a place to grow while working on their artistic form in all performing arts roles.”

Student Payne Ackerman agrees. “Henry is very important to me because it is an extremely friendly environment and a great way to learn about theater.”

The show at the Woodward Theater in Cincinnati will be at 7 p.m. and again at 10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here. They cost $14 in advance and $18 the day of the show. Historical Woodward Theatre is located at 1404 Main Street in Cincinnati.

Theater Henryka Konstantinow is a non-profit theater organization operating at NKU, created to promote an open artistic space in which students can artistically explore the sphere of theater and develop their craft. Each program is entirely student-led, student-led and student-produced.
