A serious vehicle collision on Highway 154 closes the road and injures three people

A vehicle collision involving two sedans Saturday evening on Highway 154 near Paradise Road resulted in serious injuries and road closures in both directions.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the accident, which was reported around 8:06 p.m., resulted in serious consequences. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene where they discovered that both vehicles required evacuation to free the occupants.

A total of three patients were involved in the intense accident – one adult woman and two adult men. An adult female suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for emergency medical attention. The adult males suffered moderate and minor injuries, respectively, and were transported to the same hospital by ground ambulance.

The recovery process was complex, highlighting the serious nature of the collision and the skill and commitment of rescuers in saving lives.

As a result of the crash, Highway 154 was closed in both directions near Paradise Road for emergency services.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department, along with local law enforcement, is investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
