Sunday shooting in Racine, 24-year-old injured; identified person of interest

One person was injured in a shooting in Racine on Sunday morning, October 27.

According to Racine Police Department At approximately 3:11 a.m., officers responded to the area of ​​Main and Wolff on a report of a man with a gun.

When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man who had been shot.

He was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to Milwaukee. Currently, his condition is described as critical.

Police learned that at the time of the incident, the victim was involved in a verbal and alleged physical altercation with several people.

Investigators spoke to several witnesses and a 21-year-old man considered to be a designated person.

The Racine County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing charges in the case.
