Trump supporters outside Madison Square Garden say the “exciting” rally shows New York is getting in on the action

Diehard supporters former President Trump they say Sunday’s campaign rally at Madison Square Garden was a bold statement that their movement is permeating deep blue areas like New York.

“Donald Trump is in every state,” Pennsylvania resident John Nolan told Fox News Digital outside the famous stadium before the rally. “The guy draws conclusions no matter where he is. I mean, people came from all over the world to get here, and his supporters are here too.”

“Absolutely,” Alexa Brink, a resident of Westchester, New York, told Fox Digital when asked if other New Yorkers she knew would vote for Trump. “All day. Let’s go, Trump!” She added that she wasn’t sure Trump could win New York, but said: “We’ll try!”

Although New York has many competitive House races, Republicans are not widely expected to win the state in the presidential race. In every presidential election since Ronald Reagan won it for the GOP in 1984, the Democratic Party has won.

Tempers outside the famous arena ran high as crowds of fans gathered on the streets of the Big Apple, eagerly waiting to see if they could get into the 19,500-seat stadium. Police say many of them were rejected and Donald Trump Jr. claimed that nearly 200,000 people tried to gain access to the rally, which featured several high-profile speakers before Trump’s speeches, including former first lady Melania Trump, Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White.

Melissa Elsner and Luke Ordino visited from New Jersey and said they weren’t surprised by the size of the huge crowd that gathered at the “World’s Most Famous Arena.”

No, absolutely not, because we are the majority, although the press often tries to tell us that this is not the case,” Elsner said, adding that the economy illegal immigration and education are the three most important issues for her in this election.

“Come on, Donald Trump can achieve anything in New York,” Elsner added. One of the women, Barabara Walsh, said she even came from Ireland to take part in the long-awaited event.

A group of young Jewish fans were noisily waiting in line in front of the main entrance to the stadium. “USA, USA, USA,” they chanted, jumping and waving the Israeli flag.

“We are here because we must make America great again. We need Trump back home to bring the hostages… we need a good economy, no more wars… Kamala Harris is still going crazy,” the 17-year-old told old Tzvi Schoch.

“Everyone was better… under Donald J. Trump than now, inflation is exorbitantly high, under Trump it was 1.9%. We need Trump back in office, we need the wall built, we need illegal aliens taking our taxpayers. We need a strong president, not one like Biden or Harris. Sometimes peace comes through strength.”

“Trump is protecting Jews,” shouted 17-year-old Mendel Steigman, who said he and his friends had been victims of anti-Semitic attacks and insisted Trump was a friend of Israel.

Another animated rally participant, Anas Shuaib, a Palestinian Muslim and American who has lived in America for 25 years, said that on November 5, voters will tell Harris: “You’re fired, you’re fired, you’re fired.”

“Arabs are voting for Trump!” Shuaib said. “When Trump becomes president, there will be peace, prosperity and, above all, America! He will end the war in the Middle East and throw you out of the White House.”

Latin American New Yorker Belio Martinez held a poster with the now-famous photo of Trump with the words “Never Give Up.” He said the various court cases against the 45th president have “solidified” his support for Trump.

The demonstration ended just after 8:30 p.m., when the crowd could listen to Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York.”

Outside, New York residents Maria Coletta and Rhonda Gottlieb said it was their first rally and it did not disappoint.

“The energy of the crowd, the speaker, the issues raised were absolutely exciting,” Gottlieb said, proudly holding a “Trump-Vance” poster.

“I think the symbolism of it is just fantastic because New York it’s a blue city and he comes and he has this turnout, I mean it was full, it was packed, and there were thousands of people outside. I think a lot of blue cities are becoming redder because at some point the Democrat extremism – defensive policing, transgenderism (ism) – all these issues just push normal, reasonable people to the right. “

Gottlieb said she used to be a “left-wing person,” but many years of studying issues such as racial and sexual politics moved her to the right.

Edward X. Young said he has been to 102 Trump rallies, and Sunday’s was a big one because almost everyone in town loved Trump before he entered politics, but the deep blue city turned against him.

Young, who lived in the Big Apple from 1983 to 1990 and now lives in New Jersey, said the rally showed New Yorkers were back in the former president’s corner.

“Trump was New York’s favorite son, he was loved. There wasn’t even a rally in town during the last election campaign… but he came back in a big way,” said Young, who said he met his fiancé at a Trump rally.

“Four or five years ago if I wore MAGA gear around the Bronx it would have kicked my butt, but no, the locals love it and it’s clear why… it’s because Democratsthey have gone too far,” Young said, noting that working-class people in the city are finding it increasingly difficult to survive.

J Mellz, a New York musician who has lived in Brooklyn and Queens, said Trump is making big gains among Blacks, Latinos and other minorities.

“I feel like it was enthusiastic, I feel like it was something that New York needed, I feel like it’s something that the media won’t fully show, but it shows how united New York is,” Mellz said.

“It showed that it’s time for change here and I think we’re tired of people ruling and controlling this area. I think we’re looking forward to something different.”
