Driver injured in crash in North Belle Vernon

Emergency crews were called to the scene of a car accident that occurred on Broad Avenue in North Belle Vernon around 5 p.m. Monday. NBV Fire Chief Shelby Ferguson said one vehicle, driven by a 97-year-old woman, overturned after hitting a car parked in the roadway in front of 825 Broad Ave. Ferguson said the woman was trapped in the car and crews had to remove the roof to extricate her.
