The road is closed and buses are being diverted after the accident

A41 Wellington road, Bilstonwas closed in both directions after the collision around 8 a.m. Monday morning.

The National Express West Midlands service 79 was forced to divert in both directions following the collision, with the route now passing through Wolverhampton Street, Coseley Road, Black Country Route, Hall Street and Oxford Street.

On X the bus group said: “Wellington Road, Bilston is currently closed.

“The 79 is being diverted in both directions via Wolverhampton Street, Coseley Road, Black Country Route, Hall Street and Oxford Street. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

The incident was also reported to West Midlands Roads, saying it took place near The Cresent in Bilston.

On the X show, the group said: “A41 Wellington Road around The Crescent #Bilston

“The road is blocked. Collision.”
